Fort Huachuca

Our first tour at Fort Huachuca, Az we lived in Cloud Nine Trailer court. This was our first home - 103 Nelson Circle. David went to MIOAC, Airborne School and Counterintelligence School while here.

The house was small but nice.

111Grierson Ave, Fort Huachuca.

We had hundreds of hours of fun with Travis, Cockaynes, Browns, Ardes and Isaac and Robert. We loved Thanksgivings with the Cockaynes almost every year while we were here - 4 and a half years. David taught school, worked in DOES, and was the IG.

This is for Matt. They have refurbished all the old homes and they look great.

Furry Grandchildren

Taylor and Emileigh are so much fun. They really make us feel at home when we visit. The bike rides, the mall, the ballgames, and the orchards are all so fun when we are with them. Even the rides to the Fort are better with them along.
Three really nice women.

McQueen Grandchildren

These are recent pictures of Megan, Isaac, Mallory and Eli. Each child has such a wonderful and expressive personality. They have a combined energy with enough wattage to light an entire neighborhood. We love riding bikes, hiking, playing games and going to church with them. Two girls, two boys, two blue eyed, two brown eyed and four lovely children.

Introduction

The Family of David Michael and Susan Bennion McQueen

This blog is dedicatied to the two most important things in our lives - our family and our LDS Mission. Our daughter Mary is married to Travis Furry and they have two children. Our son Matthew is married to Elizabeth Hawes and they have four children. Sue and I served in the Ukraine Donetsk Mission in the Eastern portion of Ukraine. We were mission parents to 342 wonderful missionaires over a three year period of time.

This picture was taken at our last reunion held on Matt and Liz's front lawn. Mary and Travis provided the Army shirts in honor of our family's 23 years of following Dad around the world so he could have fun serving in the United States Army.

Our missionaries arrived on this very train to begin their mission in Donetsk Ukraine. We loved waiting at the train station to pick up new missionaries and to return to say goodbye to the ones leaving our mission. The blue Donetsk train station holds a special place in our hearts. We arrived in Donetsk on this train on 30 June 1999. President and Sister Manzhos were the mission parents we followed and they had really trained the missionaires well. He became an Area Authority Seventy and came back to visit the mission and conduct district conferences. He never made me feel uncomfortable. We consider him and his family to be great friends.
